DESCRIPTION: The larva of out smallest plume moth induces a swelling to occur around the stem nodes of the host plant which can be found between May and August. Keep a look out for the giveaway signs of drooping shoots and flowers and once located, check the gall opening for massed larval droppings. Pupation occurs in the stems and there are two generations per year. DISTRIBUTION: Frequent throughout. HABITAT: Frequent on Hemp Agrimony. |
